Bear mauls forest employee
Sidhi, MP, May (UNI) A forest employee was mauled by a wild bear in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park area of this district, official sources said today.
Forest department sources said fire watcher Jamahir Singh(40) had gone out for an inspection at Belgama area of the Park yesterday along with forest guard Ranjeet Singh, when a bear pounced upon him from a tree and injured him seriously.
The guard attempted to rescue his colleague but failed. Jamahir was seriously injured with deep scars on his face. Later, he was admitted to the district hospital.
