AIADMK invites applications for Madurai west bypoll

Chennai, May 25 (UNI) The opposition AIADMK invited applications from aspiring candidates to contest in the June 26 by-election from Madurai west.

Party General Secretary J Jayalalithaa, in a statement here, said the applications would be received on May 28 and 29 and the aspiring candidates could obtain the applications by paying Rs 10,000.

The Madurai West seat was held by the AIADMK. The seat fell vacant following the death of Mr S V Shanmugam.
