8 held for smuggling sandalwood

Nadiad, Gujarat, May 25 (UNI) Eight persons were held on charges of smuggling sandalwood and contraband worth Rs 3000 was seized from them.

They were travelling in a car late last evening when intercepted them and seized the sandalwood.

Upon interrogation, the eight admitted the sandalwood was cut in Padal village near Katlal taluka, police said.
