7 feared drowned as boat overturns in Ganga

Bijnor, May 25 (UNI) At least seven persons, including a teenager, were feared drowned after an overloaded boat, overturned in the Ganga river here today.

Two bodies of Kumari Rani (15) and Vidhya (35) had been fished out, while the search was on to trace others.

According to police, the ill-fated boat, carrying about 40 passengers of Bahadwala village got disbalanced, when a few people jumped off it midstream.

All, but seven managed to swim to safety.
