Uttarakhand High Court to hear Tripathy's petition on June 5

Dehradun, May 24 (UNI) Uttarakhand High Court has fixed June 5 for the next hearing of Amarmani Tripathy's petition to go to UP to take oath as Uttar Pradesh Assembly member.

The Court has also asked the CBI and the State Government to present their side in a week's time.

Amarmani Tripathy, the main accused in poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case who is lodged in Dehradun Jail at present has recently won UP Assembly election from Laxmipur constituency of Maharajgunj district.

Tripathy had filed a petition in the Dehradun Special Court, where the case is bring heard, asking permission to go to Lucknow for oath taking ceremony, which was rejected on May 16 by the Court. He has filed a petition in the Uttarakhand High Court, Nainital against the ruling of lower court.

Amarmani Tripathy was earlier allowed to go for filing his nomination for UP Assembly election by Supreme Court.
