SI, ASI suspended for dereliction of duties

Vijayawada, May 24 (UNI) City Police Commissioner C V Anand this evening suspended a Sub-Inspector (SI) and an Assistant Sub-Inspector on charges of negligence and dereliction of duties under Vijayawada City Police Commissionerate.

A release from police commissioner office said, despite the commissioner warning the police personnel that action would be initiated against those who failed to safeguard the law and order and control the crime, the SI and ASI had failed to discharge their duties properly.

Mr Anand initiated departmental action on the duo and posted V Venkateswara Rao, who was working in Police Control Room, in place of Durga Prasad, the release added.
