Ravinder Kumar Sharma is the artist of May in PR website

Chandigarh, May 24 (UNI) Mr Ravinder Kumar Sharma, a renowned artist, is the artist of the month of May in the website of Department of Public Relations, Chandigarh Administration.

Mr Sharma, a lecturer in Government College of Arts, Sector 10, had organized 25 exhibitions in different parts of the country and won wide acclaims for his work.

The Chandigarh Administration honoured Mr Sharma with State Awards for designing the tableau for the Republic Day, New Delhi in the year 1989 and 1991. He has also been awarded for his meritorious works in the field of Art Education.

Born in Himachal Pradesh, Mr Sharma has done M.A in History of Arts, Diploma in Art and B. Ed. He also undertook research on Gram Devtas of Kullu.
