NSC bags two NPC awards for 2004-05 and 2005-06

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) Minister of State for Agriculture Dr Akhilesh Prasad Singh today conferred the Second Best Performance National Productivity Award (Agriculture Sector) for the year 2004-05 to the National Seeds Corporation Ltd (NSC) and the Best Performance for the year 2005-06 in the category of Seeds Corporations in Public Sector.

The awards have been given in recognition of NSC's excellence and achievement in Agriculture sector as the Corporation surpassed all its previous records and achieved the highest ever record turnover of Rs 104.54 crore and earned a net profit of Rs 4.33 crore during 2005-06.

The awards were received by Y R Purandare and P V Salvi, Directors of NSC for the years 2004-05 and 2005-06 respectively.
