Mani Shankar Aiyar to visit Nagaland

Kohima, May 24: Union Minister for Panchayat and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Mani Shankar Aiyar will be visiting Nagaland in August.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the Information Technology building here yesterday, Nagaland Chief Secretary Lalhuma said Mr Aiyar is expected to visit the state during the summit in Information Technology some time in August.

However, the scheduled date was yet to be finalised.

The function was officially inaugurated by Nagaland School Education and Information and Technology Minister Imkong L.Imchen.

Mr Lalhuma also informed that during his visit, the state government would request Mr Aiyer to provide an additional amount of Rs six crore to meet the needs of the remaining projects in the state.
