Heavy rains forecast in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya
Pune, May 24 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, while rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar.
Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Kerala, some parts of south Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were above normal in coastal Orissa and in some parts of Bihar, Saurashtra, Kutch, south Konkan, south Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalseema and coastal and south interior Karnataka.
Day temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Exceptionally heavy rains have occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, while heavy rain have occured at many places in Arunachal Pradesh.
