Girls outshine boys in Gujarat HSC exams

Ahmedabad, May 24 (UNI) Gujarat has recorded a pass percentage of 89.25 in the HSC general stream with Mehsana student Jamtani Vishalkumar Kishanbhai topping the list.

Jamtani Vishalkumar Kishanbhai scored 92.71 per cent, Gujarat HSC Board head R K Pathak told reporters here while announcing the results at a press conference today.

Sheth Sagar Nitinkumar from Junagadh and Choksi Purvesh Ashishbhai from Surat stood second in the list of toppers with 92 per cent each, while Dabhi Smita Sureshchandra stood third with 91.86 per cent.

This year, 19 students have made it to the merit list of whom 12 are girls. The success rate of boys is 85.31 per cent, while for girls is 94.16 per cent, Mr Pathak informed.
