Srinagar, May 24 (UNI) Agitating Electropathy degree holders, on a sit-in here since about 40 days, have written letters in blood to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to express their ''sense of hopelessness'' and highlight their problems.

The Electropathy 'doctors' have been protesting at the Press Enclave here to press for their demands, seeking recognition of their degrees and jobs.

The Jammu and Kashmir government was yet to recognise their electropathy degree. The 'doctors' have passed out from the Jammu-based P N Medical Institute of Electropathy.

Left to fend for themselves, they decided to write letters in blood the Chief Minister, seeking justice.

''Jammu and Kashmir Electropathy Doctors...To, Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir State...Sir, Plea For Justice,'' read the letter writen in blood. Even the signature and designation of the president of the association have been written in blood.

''We are facing a serious problem. The government does not recognise our degrees,'' said a protesting graduate.

The Kupwara District Development Board decided to employ Electropathy doctors last year, but now the Health Department has refused to recognise the degree, he added.

''This is sheer injustice. The government is pushing us to commit suicide,'' he said.
