Delhi Police ASI, HC caught accepting bribe

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) An Assistant Sub-Inspector and a Head Constable of the Delhi Police have been arrested for accepting a bribe from a woman to quash a false complaint against her made over a business dispute.

The accused ASI and HC had threatened to arrest the woman after a property dealer filed a complaint against her at Hari Nagar police station over a property matter, asking her to pay Rs 30,000, said the CBI.

Despite denying the allegations she was asked to pay Rs 30,000 after being called to the police station.

The ASI-HC duo was arrested from a restaurant opposite the Hari Nagar police station by the CBI sleuths.
