Court cancels NBW against Haseena Parkar

Mumbai, May 24: A city court today cancelled the non-bailable warrants issued against Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Haseena appeared before additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate V K Sharma this morning as directed by the sessions court.

Haseena's name figures in an extortion case. Soon after the court cancelled the non-bailable warrant issued against her, investigating officer Bajrang Parad moved an application seeking her custody, while defence advocate Shyam Keshwani filed a bail application.

Earlier, Haseena appeared before the court sharp at 1100 hrs.

She was escorted by six Burqa-clad women.

Haseena had been declared as absconding in the case, and police teams had fanned out to neighbouring Thane, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Hyderabad in search of her.
