Congress calls for TAC meeting over delimitation issue

Ranchi, May 24 (UNI) Expressing concern over Delimitation Commission's recommendation of reducing Lok Sabha and assembly seats belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded that the Tribal Advisory Commiittee (TAC) meeting be called to discuss the matter.

Party's state president Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu in a release issued here today said Chief Minister Madhu Koda should call a TAC meeting as people in the state were enraged over the issue.

Mr Balmuchu said according to constitutional rights the Chief Minister should pass a proposal to maintain the number of Lok Sabha and assembly seats and send it to the President, Prime Minister and Lok Sabha Speaker to sort out the matter.
