CM nods for CBI probe, orders judicial inquiry into firing

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy today said he had requested the Centre to order a CBI inquiry into the Mecca Masjid bomb blast on May 18.

At a high-level meeting here, the Chief Minister also announced a judicial inquiry into the police firing, following the blast.

He said his government was absolutely transparent on such issues and the government wanted to bring to light the people behind the blast.

No force on earth would be allowed to disturb the communal harmony and peace in the state.

He urged the Hindus, Muslims and other communities to join hands to fight the anti-national forces.
