Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Irked by the relentless fight of the CPI(M) for decent dwellings for the poor by grabbing the government lands, and the law and order problem the agitation was creating, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has called the communist parties for talks this evening.

According to official sources, the government would explain to them about the massive housing plan it was implementing and request them not to incite the poor and the homeless. It would assure the opposition that every poor man would be provided with a house of his own.

The first demand of the communists in lieu of stopping the agitation, was expected to be the withdrawal of all cases registered against the party activists and other agitators, the sources said.

They were also expected to ask the government to hasten the housing programme.
