Chickens perish due to roof collapse in poultry farm

Tiruchirapalli, May 24 (UNI) More than 10,000 chickens perished when the roof of poultry farm at Kalimudayanpatti village near Thuraiyur about 60 km from here collapsed following heavy rain late last night.

Police today said the poultry farm is owned by one Muniyappan.

The loss was estimated at Rs five lakh.
