Amarinder's son, son-in-law get bail in City Centre case
Chandigarh, May 24(UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today granted anticipatpory bail to Raninder Singh and Raminder Singh, the son and the son-in-law repectively of former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh.
The two had moved the court for antricipatory bail in view of their names having been referred to in connection with the case of the multi-crore scam relating to the award of construction contract of Ludhiana City Centre to New Delhi based company Today Homes and Infrastructure.
During interrogation by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau one of the accused Chetan Gupta had allegedly mentioned their names among those who had some role in the scam Hearing the bail plea Justice Uma Nath Singh disagreed with Punjab additional advocate general Rupinder Khosla who had stressed upon the need for the custodial interrogation of the petitioners.
Thereafter the two were granted bail by the Court.
