Woman, 3 children die while crossing railway line

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) A 40-year-old woman along with three children -- aged 2-8 -- were killed at Shahdara railway station in North-East Delhi while trying to cross the railway line.

Shamshad Begum and her two-year-old son Mohammad, daughter Farah (6) and neice Rizwana (8) were run over by a train while trying to cross the railway line to reach other platfrom, sources said.

The family had arrived from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, from where it hailed, and lived in Sundernagri in Delhi.

They were crossing the lines at about 2200 hrs when the accident took place.
