Seven police rifles stolen in Bihar
Barh, May 23 (UNI) At least seven service rifles of Bihar police personnel were stolen from their barrack in the Mokama hospital in Patna district last night, official sources said today.
They said the burglary took place when some thieves broke open the front door of the barrack, situated at the basement of the hospital and decamped with rifles.
The police camp was set up at the hospital premises last month after the authorities received repeated threats from local miscreants that they would stop the ongoing expansion of the hospital premises.
Soon after the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural) Upendra Prasad rushed to the spot along with other senior officials to probe the incident and nab the culprits.
Meanwhile, the policemen on duty were being questioned.
