Punjab PR Minister also sees Cong hand in Sacha Sauda trouble
Chandigarh, May 23 (UNI) Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today demanded a high level inquiry into violent incidents only in the Congress ruled states of Haryana and J&K during the Akal Takht called 'bandh' yesterday to protest against the anti-Sikh activities of Dera Sacha Sauda.
"Despite total restraint shown by the people of the Punjab the incidents of violence in only Congress ruled states fall in a set and well known pattern", he said in a statement issued here.
Mr Majithia said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should show sagacity and balanced approach and prevail upon the Chief Ministers' of Haryana and J&K to "stop fishing in troubled waters".
He claimed that Congress had always tried to create divisions among the people for cheap political gains but this time people of Punjab had seen through their nefarious game.
Mr Majithia further claimed that the Congress has not been able to digest its drubbing in the February Vidhan Sabha polls and was desperately looking to given " an ugly turn to every situation to disturb the hard earned peace and communal harmony in Punjab".
