Police rescues two kidnapped children from Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Police have rescued two kidnapped children with the arrest of a person from Uttar Pradesh.

Manoj Balmiki (29), a rickshaw puller in South Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area, was arrested from Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh where he was hiding with the children-- Arjun (6) and Juli (5).

On April 29, parents of the children had filed a missing report naming the accused as a suspect.

During the interrogation, Manoj admitted that he had kidnapped the children for money. He was planning to either sell them to issueless couples or demand ransom from the parents.
