MRA members stage sit-in strike to press demands

Puducherry, May 23 (UNI) Members of the Meter Readers Association (MRA) attached to the PWD water supply wing today staged a sit-in strike to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, filling up of vacant meter readers post and removal of the pay anomalies.

Association sources said the members were observing the sit-in strike as a token protest and they would go on a mass casual leave from May 28 to June 6, if their demands were not conceeded.
