Mayawati inducts one minister of state;promotes another
Lucknow, May 23 (UNI) The eleven-day-old BSP government in Uttar Pradesh today inducted a Minister of State(independent charge) and elevated another to the cabinet rank.
Governor T V Rajeswar administered oath to Cabinet Minister Ram Achal Rajbhar and Minister of State (independent charge) Anand Sen Yadav in a simple ceremony at Raj Bhawan in the presence of Chief Minister Mayawati and her ministerial colleagues.
Mr Rajbhar was Minister of State(independent charge) of Transport while Mr Yadav could not take the oath on May 13 along with the Chief Minister.
This was the second minor expansion of Mayawati's council of ministers since May 13. With this the strength of the present ministry has now gone up to 50, including the Chief Minister.
Anand Sen Yadav, whose father Mitrasen Yadav is the BSP MP from Faizabad and recently whose name was dragged in the controversial human trafficking case, was recently released from the jail on bail in connection with criminal cases.
Earlier, on May 16, the BSP General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister who was later attached to the Chief Minister.
