Leeds University-IIM(K) sign agreement to start exchange programmes
Kolkata, May 23 (UNI) Leeds University aims to tie up with all the Indian Institute of Managements (IIM) across the country to start various exchange programmes, including joint research, faculty and student's exchange programmes.
The University today signed an agreement with IIM (Kolkata) to introduce these programmes. Under this programme, around 15 students would go to the Leeds University this year.
Speaking to mediapersons here today on the sidelines of workshop, University of Leeds Dean Professor Andrew Lock said, ''We will start a PGPX programme in the IIM (Kolkata). Last year, we started this programme in IIM Ahmedabad.'' The students would go to UK for five weeks for this programme. In the first week, the main area of learning would be ''Doing Business in Europe'' and the next four weeks the topic would be ''Industrial projects''.
''We are trying to include international faculty exchange, doctoral students exchange and collaborative research through this programme,'' said Mr Lock.
