ISD call to Gulf nations on Reliance phone at Rs 6.99/min
New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Setting a tariff war in the telecom sector, Anil Ambani group company Reliance Infocom today reduced its ISD rates to the Gulf by over 36 per cent at Rs 6.99 per minute.
Earlier, the company had slashed ISD rates to the US and Canada to just Rs 1.99 per minute, bringing its customers at par with domestic long distance tariffs.
The reduction in call rates to Gulf will be on the Global calling card of Rs 1,900, a company statement said.
''We are glad to have yet again taken the lead in offering the best value proposition for Reliance customers, who can call Gulf countries at just Rs 6.99 per minute,'' said RCOM (Personal Division) President S P Shukla in the statement issued here.
He further said RCOM has always believed in realising synergies for benefit of its customers, through superior value offerings. The series of initiatives undertaken recently will further enhance the company's leadership position and value for its million stakeholders.
