India, US hold talks on Civil Nuke Coop in London

Senior officials of the two-countries met in London on May 21-22 for technical-level discussions on the subject, official sources said here today.
Both countries clarified certain concepts and exchanged ideas making further progress towards a mutually-agreed text, the sources said.
They, however, said some further work was required to bridge the remaining gaps.
''During discusssions, we clarified certain concepts and exchanged ideas making further progress towards a mutually-agreed text. Some further work is required to bridge the remaining gaps and both sides have agreed that discussions will continue,'' the sources added.
US Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Nicholas Burns, was scheduled to visit India this month-end for further discussions on the agreement. However, no dates were announced for the visit.
