Global Seminar on 'Islam on Terrorism' in Delhi on May 26
New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) The Jama Masjid United Forum will conduct a seminar to address the growing threat of terrorism in India at the India Islamic Cultural Center here on May 26.
Titled 'Islam on Terrorism', the seminar will be attended by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy and West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, among other dignitaries.
Being organised to address growing threat of terrorism in India, the conference will spotlight the challenges that the world is facing today, prepare a White Paper on terrorism to tackle the menace by addressing basic and fundamental issues and pronounce an International Declaration against terrorism.
Other eminent personalities to be present at the seminar include Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bhukhari and various other influential people from different walks of life like renowned lyricist and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar, Director Mahesh Bhatt, and Science, Technology&Earth Sciences Minister Kapil Sibal along with ambassadors from 15 different countries of the world.
The conference is the first initiative by Jama Masjid United Forum to fight against terrorism.
