BMC has adequate number of beds in the hospital: Health officer
Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has claimed that civic hospitals have adequate beds for patients and if need be more beds can be arranged in view of the approaching monsson season.
With the rains approaching and the trauma of 26/7 not getting erased from citizens minds, the BMC's health department has taken adequate steps to tackle health issues due to rains.
BMC Health officer D Damle who was present in a press briefing today along with the BMC Commissioner Jairaj Pathak said, the number of beds in various BMC hospitals is adequate for any kind of an emergency and if required the number of beds can be increased.
Damle added that the BMC hospitals will distribute free medicines to patients if diseases spread during the rains and the doctors and staff are prepared for any emergency.
