Bihar police official suspended for dereliction of duty
West Champaran, May 23 (UNI) A Bihar police sergeant, posted at Bagha police station in the district, was suspended today on charges of dereliction of duty.
District superintendent of police Vikas Vaibhav said the suspended official remained absent for about a week from the police station without informing the officer in-charge.
Describing the absence without prior information was a violation of the code of conduct of the state police force, Mr Vaibhav said it was more disturbing in view of the scheduled local bodies elections slated for May 26.
