AMC convenes special GB on May 25 to discuss commissioner issue

Akola, Maharashtra, May 23 (UNI) Akola mayor Madan Bhargad has called a special general body meeting on May 25 to discuss the situation arising out of the ''unruly behaviour of municipal commissioner Chandrasekhar Rokde''.

A former BJP coopted member, Deepak Khotre, had lodged a complaint with the police on May 21 accusing the commissioner of assaulting him. The commissioner had lodged a counter-complaint against Mr Khotre.

The meeting had been requisitioned by 38 members in the 71-member House.
