ULFA linkman in possession of IED arrested

Guwahati, May 21 (UNI) The Army arrested an ULFA linkman from Tinsukia district of Upper Asom last night and recovered an Improvised Explosive Device(IED) from his possession, sources said today.

Acting on a tip-off, army personnel arrested Numal Siring of Telekota Gaon at Nao Sadiya under Chapakhowa police station from his residence at Sadiya, the sources said.

A powerful IED, which was found from his residence, was seized and later defused.

The accused was later handed over to the police.

Interrogation was on, police have confirmed.
