Panaji, May 21 (UNI) Leader of the the Opposition in Lok Sabha and BJP leader L K Advani described the three-year government headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, as 'nikruht sarkar' (the worst ever government).

''Even as a writer before becoming a politician, I had seen many governments including the one headed by the first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. But the worst ever 'nikrusht sarkar' I had ever seen is that of Manmohan Singh,'' the BJP leader said.

Kicking off an impressive election campaign at Azad Midan in the capital city here this evening, Mr Advani said the completition of three-year rule tomorrow of Manmohan Singh was marked with many lapses.

''May 22 is very significant in that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh completes three years in office. It is marked with many lapses,'' he said.

They included J&K imbroglio, mounting terrorism and naxalism, anarchy in the North East, lack of honesty and end of the three-year term the most ignomously, he noted.

On the other hand, the five year rule of Gujarat headed by Chief Minister Narendra Modi witnessed dramatic progress, thus attracting huge investments as the government is ''honest with integrity''.

'Jyothigram' in Gujarat is the only place in the country providing villagers with 24-hour uninterrupted power supply. ''I am proud of representing Gandhinagar in Gujarat,'' he said.

In this connection, he ridiculed Goa government for its failure to provide drinking water continuously for five days last week in Panaji though it promised to provide 24-hr water supply in its manifesto released today by the Congress.
