Kingfisher aviation university to come up next year
Mumbai, May 21 (UNI) Kingfisher Airlines and United Breweries Chairman, Dr Vijay Mallya today said Kingfisher Aviation university will come up by next year at Nerul in Navi Mumbai.
Mallya was interacting with reporters after the inauguration of Kingfisher Training Academy (KTA), where every year 2,000 students will be trained in hospitality, airlines and related courses.
He said the UB group had got a brewery at Nerul, which will be shifted to Taloja in Raigad district, and the university would come up at that place.
Mallya said there would be an investment of Rs 200 crore in the formation of the university in which some flying school and club's cooperation would be taken.
Speaking about the KTA, which has come up with an investment of Rs 10 crore at Andheri, he said KTA's ten branches would come up in other big cities of the country by the end of this year. Experts from the aviation, hospitality and hotel industry will be the faculty for KTA and each student will be charged Rs one lakh for six months training course.
When asked about his takeover offer for Air deccan, he said 'I have said whatever I wanted to say and capt Gopinath also replied and now I have nothing to say'.
