International gang of cheats busted

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Police have busted a gang of international cheats with the arrest of three Nigerian nationals in the capital.

Obinna (27), Okey Ammezi (27) and Ubagu (34) were arrested by the Special Team of the Crime Branch yesterday.

Two laptops, forged visas, six mobiles and 50 packets of 'black dollars' have been recovered from them.

Police said the accused used to cheat people on the pretext of winning a lottery worth 5 lakh US Dollars. The accused operated a several accounts in various banks in the names of their Indian associates.

During sustained interrogation, they revealed that the other gang members are based in London and Malaysia Mumbai besides other metro cities of India.
