HP remembers Rajiv Gandhi on his 16th death anniversary
Shimla, May 21 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today paid floral tributes to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 16th death anniversary, which is observed as the anti terrorism day in the country.
The former prime minister would always be remembered for his role in ushering in information and technology (IT) boom in the country, he said after laying a wreath at his statue at Sadbhavna Chowk here.
Mr. Singh also administered a pledge to the people present during the occasion, promising to eradicate terrorism from the country and to work for the communal and social harmony collectively.
He was accompanied by Power minister Vidya Stokes, Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) Minister Kaul Singh, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Singhi Ram, Animal Husbandry Minister Harsh Mahajan, MPs Pratibha Singh and Dhani Ram Shandil.
