CEO issues notice to HP government on misuse of helicopter

Shimla, May 21 (UNI) Chief Election Officer Manisha Nanda today issued notice to the Himachal Pradesh Government to clarify whether Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had misused his helicopter for campaigning in favour of his party candidate.

Taking suo motto notice of the BJP's yesterday's allegation that the Chief Minister had mis-used the official helicopter, the CEO issued notice to the state's chief secretary S S Parmar and sought his clarification on the issue at the earliest.

BJP's national vice president Sahib Singh Verma had alleged yesterday that the Chief Minister misused the official helicopter while returning to Shimla yesterday to campaign for Congress candidates in the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections.
