BJP, Cong battling workers' annoyance in MP
Bhopal, May 21 (UNI) Both the ruling BJP and main opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh are seeking a way out of the same problem -- dissatisfaction and annoyance among party cadre ahead of the 2008 assembly hustings.
Political analysts believe that in the saffron party's case the chief factors are alleged neglect of workers, encouragement to nepotism and lack of coordination between the government and party organisation.
On the other hand, in the Congress -- caught in the quicksand of its leaders' groupism -- lack of a powerful leadership coupled with rivalry among senior leaders and nepotism are responsible for workers confining themselves to their homes.
In the run-up to the June 2 Shivpuri assembly constituency bypoll, the BJP has earned workers' ire for fielding former Congress MLA Ganesh Gautam.
BJP state unit President Narendra Singh Tomar has only met with partial success in trying to convince workers that it was an unanimous decision by the party's Election Committee.
