Arrested Delhi maid taken to transit remand

Barrackpore, May 21 (UNI) Basirhat Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-in-charge today ordered Rekha Mondol, accused of stragling a 42-year-old woman at Malviyanagar in Delhi, to be taken on transit remand.

The visiting Delhi Police team yesterday arrested the woman from Bukhirampur village under Sandeshkhali police station in North 24 Parganas for allegedly killing Archana Kundra on May 16.

According to the Delhi Police, the accused was serving as a maid servant for Pankaj Rakesh, a TV serial director in the capital.

She fled with substantial amount of cash and a mobile phone, after killing Mrs Kundra in the absence of Mr Rakesh.

She was, however, traced with the help of the stolen mobile phone.
