Akali leaders lodge criminal complaint against Sacha Sauda head

Kapurthala, May 21 (UNI) Tajinder Singh Ahluwalia, Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (urban) and Rajinder Singh Dhanjal, a local leader of its Youth Wing today lodged a criminal complaint against Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate for hurting Sikh sentiments.

The Judge fixed the case for hearing on June two.

In the complaint, the complainants said that imitation of the tenth Sikh Guru was completely prohibited in the Sikh religion. They alleged that the Baba had deliberately with malicious intent hurt the Sikh sentiments by imitating Guru Gobind Singh. They also said that the advertisements published in the newspapers showing the Baba attired like the Guru were aimed to mislead the people and to disturb the communal harmony in the state.
