Tirumala, May 20 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, the highest decision making body of the world famous Lord Venkateswara temple here, today resolved to construct schools through out the state to provide children of below poverty line families free education.

Addressing a press conference after the Board meeting here, TTD Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy said the Board had decided to launch the long-cherished Sri Venkateswara Spiritual Channel by floating a company before the Sri Vari annual Brahmotsavams.

On the lines of Dasa sahitya project and Annamayya project, the TTD decided to start Tarigonda Vengamamba project to propagate Vengamamba's poems, praising Lord Venkateswara, among the public, he said.

Mr Reddy said that to propagate and preserve ancient values, heritage and Indian culture, the Board had decided to constitute an eight-member Dharmic Advisory Council.

To avoid inconvenience to women with young children while staying for hours together in queues to have darshan of the Lord, TTD decided to extend the 'Mahadwara entrance facility' (special queue for aged and disabled persons) to them from today, he added.
