Cell phones and electronic gadgets recovered from jail inmates

Gopalgunj, May 20 (UNI) In a surprise and simultaneous raid, police here today recovered three mobile phones, several other electronic gadgets, cash and other valuables from several inmates of a divisional jail.

Police said acting on a tip off a joint team led by SDM Raghunath Prasad and Deputy Superintendent of Police Umashankar Prasad raided the jail premises this morning and seized three cell phones, their charger, four CDs, huge amount of cash besides some liquor bottles.

Incidentally, in similar raids in the same jail as well as in Siwan and Chhapra jails last week a catche of mobile phones, CDs and other goods were recovered from a number of jail inmates including the incarcerated RJD MP Shahabuddin creating a sensation.
