Bauxite worth Rs 31.09 cr excavated illegally in Jamnagar

Jamnagar, Gujarat, May 20 (UNI) Bauxite worth Rs 31.09 cr was being illegally excavated from a quarry here.

According to the complaint filed yesterday by Jamnagar Geology Department royalty inspector Bhikhabhai Hemantbhai Patel, two persons - Ghelu Bogha Kabaria and Bhaya Paba Madam - had allegedly excavated bauxite worth Rs 31.09 cr on December 21 last year, police today said.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused, sources added.
