Union Home Minister offers worship at Balaji temple

Tirupati, May 19 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj V Patel today offered worship at Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala.

He was accompanied by his family members and Union Minister for Mines T Subbarami Reddy, who arrived here from Hyderabad by a special flight after visiting yesterday's bomb blast spot in Hyderabad and the hospital where the victims were admitted.

Mr Patil was received by TTD EO K V Ramanachary, JEO Balaramaiah and Rayalaseema Region IGP Sambasiva Rao and others with temple honours.

After darshan, he was presented prasadams and a potrait of the deity by the TTD EO.

After a night halt at Tirumala, Mr Patel is likely to leave for Puttaparti in Anantapur District by road for a darshan of Sri Satya Sai Baba.
