Raj: New gold reserves in Alwar, Dausa district

Jaipur, May 19: New gold reserves have been discovered in Rajasthan's Alwar and Dausa districts.

Geological Survey of India's (GSI) director, Dr Jer Iqbal, said here yesterday that gold reserves in Todi Ka Baas and Dogota Bassi in Alwar district and Dausa districts were hit upon during mining.

He also said scientists are looking for gold reserves in Jhukiya and Delwada in Banswara district and for copper reserves in Baniwala ki Dhani in Sikar district.

Mr Iqbal said chemical anaylsis of soil and minerals have been started on priority basis in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Alwar and Sawai Madhopur areas to ascertain the quality of the minerals found there for their use in medical and agricultural fields.
