HC asks govt to place details with regards to 'Z', 'Z plus' security

Allahabad, May 19 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has directed the Central and state government for detailed informations about existing rules,regulations and parameters that decide grade of security rendered to high profiles.

A bench comprising Justices Imtiaz Murtaja and Amar Saran gave this order yesterday on a petition filed by one Gayur Hassan.

The court had asked for the prevailing norms to provide Z, Z-plus and Z special security and also the rules and regulation for the same.

The court has given time to the governments till July 16. It has also ordered inquiry into sanction of security to 245 people allegedly against Government Order (GO) to a high level committee.

In the petition, three types of lists were mentioned. The First list mentioned people provided with security on the recommendation of the Superintendent of Police , the second list contained names of persons who were provided security on the permission of the court while the third list comprised names of people from different categories.

The court has ordered an inquiry by the high level committee to ascertain the reliability and validity of the informations mentioned in the third list.
