CJI inaugurates mediation centre in J'khand High Court
Ranchi, May 19 (UNI) Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan inaugurated a mediation centre at the Jharkhand High Court premises here today.
Justice Balakrishnan also distributed cheques among the former employees of Ranchi University, whose cases of Employee Welfare Fund, pension and salary payments were sorted out recently.
Official sources informed that the mediation centre, established by the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority, with support from the National Legal Services Authority, would sort out cases through mediation.
Justice Ashok Bhan and B S Shirpurkar, both from the Supreme Court and Jharkhand Chief Justice Muthuswamy Karpagyavinayagam were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the CJI, on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, was given the guard of honour after his arrival at the Birsa Munda airport here.
