Various Sikh organisations burn Dera chief's effigies
Jalandhar, May 18 (UNI) Various Sikh organisations today burnt the effigies of Dera Sacha Sauda chief at different places in the city.
The Sikh activists brandishing swords and other traditional weapons took out a procession and burnt the effigies of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at Ali Mohala and Nehru Garden chowk in the city in protest against his alleged attempt to project himself as Guru Gobind Singh.
The various Sikh organisations also gave a call for Jalandhar bandh tomorrow in protest against the Dera activities.
