Two sisters seriously injured in acid attack

Bijapur, May 18 (UNI) In a macabre incident, two sisters were seriously injured when a youth threw acid at them in the City last night.

Police said Sunanda Lingappa Kalebag (22) and Surekha Kalebag (2) were walking in the Police Head quarters campus when the youth threw acid on them.

Police said that the youth Devanand was warned by Sunanda not to follow her.

The sisters were admitted to District Hospital.

Devanand was arrested. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
